Welcome to the home of the E.Roberts (Ffestiniog) Memorial Rali Meirion Supported by JOHN ROBERTS (FFESTINIOG) LTD CONTRACTORS, HAULAGE & PLANT HIRE enquiries@johnrobertsffestiniog.co.uk We at the Harlech & District Motor Club would like to warmly welcome you all to the first running of the Rali Meirion as a single venue rally. Over the years, this event has had many guises and formats, from it’s early roots as a road event, to many years a forest rally, then back to the roads again as a premier road event under the guiding hands of Chris Evans. With us all the way through these changes has been the unwavering support of the Roberts family form Ffestiniog. The Roberts family and the Harlech & DMC continue there partnership on this event, and as the Club is heading for it’s forty year celebrations, (Founded in 1969) We look forward to welcoming you to the Ranges Motorsport Centre, and help us make the late Mrs Roberts proud. Marshals & Radios As with any event, safety is paramount, and to this end, we will require volunteer marshals & radio crews. If you would like to help us with this event, and get close to the action, then please call our Chief Marshal, Rachel Williams (01766 831570 or harlech6@tiscali.co.uk) with your name and number, and any marshaling experience you have, and we can find a space for you. If you have never marshaled before, then don’t worry, we will have an experienced marshal to be with you, and show you the ropes. Our radio controller for this event is Phil Mostyn, just give him a call, and he will sort you out a spot (07790340952) He will be waiting to hear from you. Now that we’ve got your attention, lets show you how easy it is. In order to encourage young marshals to help on the Rali Meirion, we are going to a draw to allocate one free entry to the James Trenholmes Memorial novice 40 car event to be held later this year. To be in with a chance of winning, you must follow these simple rules. 1, You must be a member of the Harlech & DMC on, or before the signing on of the Rali Meirion 2008. (You may join on the day) 2, You must sign on as a marshal for the whole of the Rali Meirion and complete your requested task. (In stage marshaling ) 3, You must qualify as a novice, as per entry requirements of the Novice rally 4, You MUST make your self known to the Chief Marshal at signing on for the Meirion, and that you wish to be entered to the draw. (This is in case we miss you on the list) 5, The draw will be made at the following committee meeting, once all entries have been checked for correctness. To be drawn by the club Chairman.
